My Favorite Photo Locations around Minnesota

Otter Creek Park in Monticello, MN

I love taking photos at Otter Creek Park because this location allows you to get a variety of backrounds at one location! The park features a little walking bridge over a small creek. I also adore the little gazebo in the middle of the park. Otter Creek Park is great for sunset photos because the sun will set in the background. This will give you a glowy, backlit look to your photos!

Rivers Edge Commons Park in Elk River, MN

This park is right along the Mississippi River and this is one of my favorite locations because of the lively atmosphere. We will take photos along the walking path by the river and under the gazebo. It is also a short walk up to Main Street, which I love taking photographing because of the opportunity to stop into a shop for an activity! P.S. activity-based photo sessions always add a candid and natural look to your gallery, which is my favorite!

Maple Grove Arboretum in Maple Grove, MN

Do you love going on walks? If so, this location is perfect for you. The Maple Grove Arboretum is a park with a walking path where you get to explore and identify all different types of trees. The arboretum is a beautiful area for a morning photo session! The sun will rise over the lake, giving you a dreamy background.

Centennial Lakes Park in Edina, MN

This is a great all-around location if you aren't sure what type of background you're looking for. Centennial Lakes Park has a wide variety of backgrounds that are all amazing. The first background you will see after parking is the Hughes Pavillion. This is a great spot for some lively photos before heading down the path along the lake for some secluded shots.

Inside your Home!

I love indoor photo sessions because you get to take your photos in the spot that is most comfortable for you. This gives you the opportunity for an intimate session that captures your everyday life. You also have the freedom of choosing any activity you want to do for your photos. You can bake cookies, make cocktails, have a pillowfight, or something else completely! I love the warmth and joy of in-home sessions.
