5 Tips for Maximizing Your Mini Session Experience

Mini sessions are so amazing! One of my favorite things about mini sessions is that it makes getting professional photos accessible to everyone. They are a less expensive way to capture life’s milestones! I love hosting mini sessions. The mini session client experience is really important to me. That is why I have laid out my top 5 tips for maximizing your mini session experience! I want your mini session to be a wonderful experience.

Choose a photographer that matches your energy!

Look at the photographer’s website and social media before you book your session. Get to know them a little bit and see if you like their personality! It is so important that you like the photographer that is capturing your images. The more comfortable you are around someone, the less time you need to warm up to them. With mini sessions, you only have 10 minutes to capture your dream images, so you need to feel comfortable around them right away!

Plan the mini session as a part of a bigger date!

Plan a date night in the area where the mini session is located. Look up some of the best restaurants in the area and maybe even a little activity! The session is 10 minutes long, and you already look amazing, so go out and have fun all dressed up with your babe! In places that I photograph often, I will include my recommendations for a date night in your session reminder email.

Choose your outfits at least a few days before your session!

You don’t want to be stressed or fighting over what you’re going to wear the morning of your mini session. Make sure to get your outfits squared away before the mini session day! This will alleviate a lot of anxiety leading up to the mini session. You will be able to focus on enjoying your day and getting ready will actually be fun!

Pamper yourself before your session!

It’s important to feel your best before getting professional photos taken. Nails are often overlooked, but it’s fun to get them done before your photo session! You’ll feel good and want to show off those new nails!

Make the final payment before your mini session!

Don’t delay receiving your images! It’s best to pay the remaining session fee when you get the payment reminder email, so you don’t forget. Once the full payment has been made, I can start editing your beautiful photos!
