Winter Engagement Photo Session

I was blessed with the amazing opportunity to capture Kelsey and Evan’s beautiful love at their engagement photo session. I’m convinced that the gorgeous winter backdrop made an appearance specifically for these beautiful winter engagement photos.

The atmosphere of their engagement session was dreamy and magical. It began with an overcast sky and a dreamy snow-covered prairie. We were able to capture moody, romantic images until the bright sun peeked its way through the clouds and the trees.

We ran to a beautiful spot in the prairie where Evan picked up Kelsey and spun her around in the beautiful golden hour. The gorgeous backlighting from the sun during their kiss is one of my favorite images from their session (who am I kidding…I love them all)!

One of the most special moments is when Kelsey and Evan practiced their first kiss for their wedding day. We still had the beautiful sun peeking through the trees and they had a perfect kiss on the first try. This love-filled moment during the session was still full of joy and laughter – which is what makes their relationship so radiant and special.

Kelsey and Evan have such a playful, loving relationship that stems from one of the most adorable love stories I have ever heard. Their relationship began when Kelsey was on a golf trip in high school. Evan was out delivering pizzas and Kelsey yelled out the window of the bus and told Evan he was cute! Their love has been flourishing from that moment forward.

Kelsey and Evan are not only a beautiful bride and groom, they are also parents. How lucky is their son to have two parents that are so clearly in love?! I’m looking forward to capturing their beautiful family photos on their wedding day.

Their playful relationship really shines through their engagement photos. I can only imagine how amazing their wedding day is going to be. I’m looking forward to capturing Kelsey and Evan’s newlywed bliss in August!
