I am truly blessed to have been able to attend and photograph Justice Jam that was held at Restoration Church in Anoka on July 8th. Justice Jam is an event that raises awareness and funds to help support survivors of human trafficking. The beneficiaries of the donations are made to two amazing organizations: Stories Foundation and Terebinth Refuge.
Justice Jam was filled with loving people with a heart to be sure survivors of human trafficking feel seen and do something about the injustice they have faced. At the event, there were wonderful speakers, great live music, and tasty food trucks to accompany the silent auction and donations that raise money for Stories Foundation and Terebinth Refuge.
Before attending Justice Jam, my idea of what human trafficking looks like was primarily based off of the movie "Taken". I was very mistaken and that is exactly why organizations like these are so important. Please check out the links for both organizations and read what they are all about. My heart and mind were changed and I'm sure others will be too.
