Engaged in Minneapolis: A Golden Hour Session at St. Anthony Main

When you imagine a perfect engagement session in Minneapolis, St. Anthony Main offers it all: historic charm, cobblestone paths, romantic riverfront views, and a city skyline that lights up at golden hour. It was the perfect place to capture Wynter and Chandler’s joyful, playful love story and I can’t wait for you to see the magic we made together.

From Target to Together Forever

Wynter and Chandler’s love story starts at Target! Seriously—how Minnesota is that? 😄 On Chandler’s very first day, Wynter (the bold, bubbly extrovert she is) went right up and introduced herself. When he told her his name was Chandler, she lit up, because her all-time favorite show is Friends. Naturally, she asked him if he was named after Chandler Bing, and although he hadn’t seen the show, he went home and confirmed with his parents: he was!

From there, their friendship took off—breaks together, grocery runs after work, and eventually, real dates. On February 7th, 2021, Chandler asked Wynter to be his girlfriend. And a few years later on Valentine's day, they got engaged. 💍

A Session Full of Laughter, Love, and Light

Wynter described their relationship as playful, and that couldn’t have been more true during our session. These two were full of giggles, little inside jokes, and effortless chemistry. Even though they’d never had professional photos taken together before (not even iPhone couple pics!), they absolutely crushed it in front of the camera. My job was just to hype them up and capture the real love that was already there.

And let’s talk about Wynter for a second—she came into the session wanting to feel beautiful and confident, and honestly? She glowed. Her smile, her eyes, her joy—it all came through in every single shot.

Favorite Moments & Future Adventures

When I asked them about their favorite date, they told me about the night they got engaged in Florida. After Chandler popped the question, they snuck off to Fishtale Grill for a private dinner, just the two of them, to soak in the moment and dream about their future together. That quiet moment of connection? It’s what love is all about—and we brought that same tenderness into their engagement session.

We wandered along the cobblestone paths, paused under string lights, and snuck a few photos by the river. The mix of historic textures and natural beauty made St. Anthony Main the perfect setting for their photos.
