When Tracie and Austin envisioned their wedding day, they pictured something simple, heartfelt, and surrounded by their closest family and friends...and that’s exactly what unfolded at Reinke Farm in Granite Falls, MN. With soft burnt orange and cream tones, outdoor vows, and personal touches to honor loved ones, this day was full of warmth and meaning from start to finish.
Getting Ready for Forever
The morning started quietly, filled with laughter, anticipation, and the hum of curling irons. Tracie got ready with her bridesmaids at Eden Salon, while the groomsmen prepared nearby in the upstairs of the YES house. One of my favorite parts of being a MN wedding photographer is capturing these in-between moments; the deep breaths before putting on the dress, the proud smiles from friends, and the small touches that make every wedding personal.

An Emotional First Look
Before guests arrived, Tracie and Austin shared their first look outdoors among the trees with private vows. It was emotional, quiet, and perfectly them. Afterward, we captured bride and groom portraits, and Tracie was reunited with her bouquet that featured small photo charms — images of loved ones who had passed — a touching tribute that made this moment even more special.

The Ceremony Under the Open Sky
The couple said "I do" in front of 68 guests in a short, intimate outdoor ceremony. The atmosphere was casual but filled with love. It was exactly the relaxed, meaningful experience Tracie and Austin wanted. With the sun glowing over the field and close family smiling in the crowd, this ceremony was the perfect reflection of their relationship.

Celebrating at the Farm
After the ceremony, guests stayed to mingle, eat, and dance the evening away, all in the same space. The casual, family-style celebration made everything feel so natural. From heartfelt speeches to a sweet first dance under the lights, the entire evening felt like a big, joyful family gathering.

Tips for Planning from a MN wedding photographer
If you love the idea of a laid-back, intimate wedding like Tracie and Austin’s, here are a few tips:
Choose a venue with natural beauty. Outdoor farm settings make beautiful backdrops with minimal décor needed.
Keep your guest list small. Smaller weddings allow for more meaningful connections and a stress-free atmosphere.
Honor loved ones thoughtfully. Memorial charms or framed photos are a timeless way to include those who can’t be there.
Work with your photographer early. Discuss your timeline, must-have photos, and personal touches ahead of time to ensure everything is captured naturally.
A Perfect Ending to a Perfect Day
As the sun set over Reinke Farm, laughter filled the air as friends and family mingled and caught up on lost time. Every detail of this day — from the rustic setting to the heartfelt moments — showcased what matters most: love, family, and connection.
Being part of Tracie and Austin’s day reminded me why I love being a MN wedding photographer. I love capturing real, emotional stories for couples who cherish the beauty of simplicity.
